While Sanur on Bali’s south east coast – where I spent a few days relaxing on the hotel pool – is bearly inspiring, Munduk in the mountain area up north is a lot. Here you can treck through rice fields and coffee plantations, listen to the birds singing, visit waterfalls and drink fresh fruit juice – the mountain panorama always in front of you. The street towards Bedugul and Gitgit curves on top of a mountain ridge from where you can see the ocean to your left and the lakes Tamblingan and Buyan to your right. Here are two picture of the view from my cosy homestay ONE. The first one taken after sunset, the second one after sunrise. During rainy season it is usual to have a blue sky in the morning with clouds and thonderstorms coming up at lunch time. At around 4 pm, when the storm is over, the most dramatic cloud formations appear on the sky with the sun shining through their middest. The evenings are mostly cloudy and a chilly breeze can make you freeze at night.
